Garment Care

Proper care of silk loungewear and intimate apparel involves gentle washing, careful drying and cautious ironing. By following these guidelines, the integrity and beauty of your Lorette garments can be preserved, ensuring they remain a cherished part of your wardrobe for years to come.

Satin/Silk

It is recommended to hand wash silk items whenever possible. Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the fibers. Gently agitate the water and submerge the garment, allowing it to soak for no more than 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cool water until all detergent is removed.

Lay flat to dry to keep their best and original shape as long as possible.

Do not tumble dry or use fabric softener.

Chiffon Silk

Our chiffon silk (Folie silk set) are very light and delicate. We recommend to dry clean, or spot hand wash only. Ironing silk requires caution: set the iron to the lowest heat setting, and avoid using steam, as this can cause water spots.

Do not soak and wring your product.
Do not steam, do not use dryer.

Mesh

Hand wash with cold water and lay flat to dry is our preferred method of care. If hand washing is not feasible, a gentle cycle in a washing machine may be used, but it is crucial to place the items in a mesh laundry bag to prevent snagging. Do not use dryer or fabric softener.
