Our Story

Lorette Lingerie is a handmade luxury lingerie brand focused on creating beautiful, original, everyday intimates. Based out of Charleston, South Carolina, their high-quality, versatile pieces encourage women to celebrate their unique femininity, connect with their bodies throughout the different stages of womanhood, and appreciate what they wear on their skin.
Founded in 2017 by Parisian designer, Laure Stromboni, Lorette builds an elegant lingerie wardrobe inspired by Laure's French heritage where expertise in craftsmanship and art-oriented details are at the centre of the brand.
With the intention of aligning the body with the mind and the heart, we invite women to explore their unique sensuality, freeing themselves from any paralyzing fashion standards around them. Lingerie is often defaulting to one end of the sexy/comfortable dichotomy, while Lorette encourages women to incorporate elegant and quality undergarments as part of their everyday. The Lorette woman revels in her own unique feminine expression and self-confidence.
Our Production
Sustainability and ethical production have been woven into our identity since the beginning. All collections are created using a mix of upcycled materials, luxury deadstock fabrics from couture houses, and bespoke embroideries. Through these relationships, we are able to source some of the finest fabrics and notions produced by Europe’s top mills. This decreases the need to produce and transport new materials, ultimately reducing our carbon footprint. We value each piece that comes out of our atelier like an art piece that you will cherish and take care of for years.
Lorette works exclusively with talented seamstresses in the city of Toronto where we originally started the brand. By making the conscious choice to not outsource our production, we offer a fair living wage to everyone involved in each garment's creation. Every sample is carefully tested in advance and all produced pieces have guaranteed quality control before they go out the door to our customers.
Our collections are produced in limited numbers to avoid waste and overstock. We save all production wastage with the intention of using left over fabric and notions for future art projects and collections.
